Consultation & First Session
Service Description
The consultation is 90 minutes and is all about dog education. In the consultation we go over: - What you are looking to work on with your dog. - The Canine Ladder of Aggression: this will help you understand when your dog is stressed, needs space, and is over threshold. - Dog body language: This is going to help you pair the canine ladder of aggression with your dogs body language so you can always advocate for them. - Tone of voice: this will help you and your dog communicate better - Discussing the work and dedication that is involved in training - What I offer, my training style, and how I can help you.
Cancelation Policy: Cancellations must be made more than 24 hours before the session. If a session is cancelled 24 hours or less before the session the session will be forfeited and there will be no refund.
WeiserWays Policies & Procedures At WeiserWays, we deeply value your time, your dog’s progress, and the mutual respect that helps training be successful. The following policies are in place to ensure clarity and consistency for both trainer and client. Cancellations & Rescheduling Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled session are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. Sessions canceled more than 24 hours in advance may be rescheduled at no additional charge, pending trainer availability. If the trainer needs to cancel or reschedule for any reason, the session will be rescheduled promptly at no cost to the client. Late Arrivals Sessions begin and end at the scheduled time. If you arrive late, the session will still end at the originally scheduled time to respect subsequent appointments. If the trainer arrives late due to unforeseen circumstances, the full session time will be honored or rescheduled as appropriate. Travel Fee For in-home sessions located more than 20 miles round trip from Sparrow’s home office in Westminster, CO, a travel fee will apply. The fee will be discussed and agreed upon before booking to ensure transparency. Payment Policy Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Package sessions must be used within 90 days of purchase unless an exception is discussed. Emergencies & Considerations We understand that emergencies happen. If a true emergency arises, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your situation. Exceptions may be made at the trainer’s discretion in compassionate circumstances. Behavioral Safety For everyone’s safety, please disclose any history of aggression, fear, or bite incidents prior to your first session. Dogs must remain under the guardian’s control at all times during in-person sessions.
